You and Me - ... hey, why the "You and Me"?

The Mister and I love music. Nay, we are obsessed with music! Music brought us together and is a factor in keeping us strong.

So to honor our musical bond, we sprinkled titles and lyrics to our special songs through our special day.

"Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5 was our first dance and "You and Me" by Dave Matthews' Band was our last dance. These two songs were present throughout our entire wedding process plus many others: we have 32 "our songs" total!

We links songs to our wedding website. You are probably listening to a similar play list now on this blog. That's right, the songs below were all a part of our day!

Our invitations included a lyric from a song we love, in a movie we adore "Let My Love Open the Door to Your Heart"... they are from MyGatsby.com

"Let My Love Open the Door to Your Heart" also appeared on the front of our programs. The back had a the poem "I Like You"... it's sweet.

My addition to French jazz was present during our cocktail hour, which included the theme song from Disney's "Ratatouille".

The tables at our reception were all named with one of "our" songs...

There also was an "Afternoon Delight" and "Beast of Burden" table :)

We also went around to (almost) every table and told them what their table's song means to us. Then we sang a bit of the song...

In stead of a guestbook, we did a wishing tree with tag made from vintage sheet music...

Yep, it was a magically-musical night!!

How did all of you incorporate sentimental elements into your wedding day?
